Crumb Cake and Pool Party Friendship - Sunshine card by Stampin Up and me

Happy Friday evening to you, dear you.
My daugther went to a Birthday Party today and we had so much fun crafting together in my little studio. She is getting so good. And she so enjoys it. This is what I came up with. It is clean and simple, but so so cute.. I love that Crumb Cake card stock created by Stampin Up. It makes every card look so elegant. They even had some buttons for sale for a while. They are now retired and I really treasure them.

Yip, I played along with the sweet ladies from The Paper Players. Their Challenge #113 was all about banners and clean and simple style.. Well that's right up my alley! So here you go.. One cutiepetutie with some banners :) Sadly I am (again) to late with adding it to their linky thingy.. to bad.. But one day my life will be more organised, right :)

The Freshly Made Sketches team had one beautiful Layout as well this week with their #53 Challenge. Do you recognise the sketch in my card? I will use this one more often, that's for sure. It's so much fun and such a great way to ad some DSP to your card.

Well, I have to bring my kiddo's to bed. We are all done for the day.
I hope you will have a beautiful weekend. It's supposed to be 28 Celcius tomorrow here in Calgary.. Oh I am so thankful we have some more summer around here.. The winters are always way to long.. We need those vitamin D's!

Hedgehog friendship card in Pretty in Pink by Stampin Up and me

Good Thursday morning dear Stampers. Thanks for hopping over to my blog.
I don't think I have used pink a lot on my cards.. like ever?... Not sure why.. but it really worked for this card.. I think...I used the Pretty in Pink cardstock and DSP from Stampin Up together with the Wisteria Wonder 3/8 " Ruffled Ribbon (#122973 - $8.50 for 10 beautiful yards) and the Pool Party cardstock.. it really turned out so cute!

I used the Perfect Pennants Bigz L die from Stampin Up (#123126 - $40.95), to create the frame around the hedgehog image. I love when images stand out more by framing them :)

I hope you enjoy today's card!

Perfectly Preserved by Stampin Up and me

Good Morning dear Stampers.
Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted a card on my blog. The days have been flying by. We had one amazing trip to Vancouver Island as a family. I love that Island and I do hope we can go there more often. The ocean, the beach, the driftwood that is all over the place.. the mountains, the people. What a great place.

The other day I received my Stampin Order, which included my Perfectly Preserved stamp set (#126692 - $25.95 for 14 of the cutest stamps)
I had also purchased the Framelits Dies. Designed to frame around the stamped images from the Perfectly Preserved Stamp set, so you can see where to cut the images. (#127822 - $30.95)

But there is some good news if you want to purchase the dies and the stamps together. It's a lot cheaper if you buy them at the same time. For $46.95 - #129944 you can buy them both in the Perfectly Preserved Bundle. That is a $10 discount. Always worth it right :)

Don't you love that cute little pear.
My head is just spinning with all the fun cards I can create with this sweet set!

For the colour combo of this card I used the Paper Players Colour Challenge #112. Dear Lesly from the PP encouraged us to use Basic Black, Basic Grey and Baja Breeze.  I added a little touch of Yellow.. to brighten it up a bit.. I hope they don't mind :) Please check out their site.. So many amazing ideas created by the Players and don't get me started on all the entries.. so much fun!

I also used for the first time one of the new ink pads that Stampin Up provides. Was it ever easy to use. No more excess tapping, just a light tap and the image was covered with ink.
Here you see the new In - Colour of 2012-2013 - Summer Starfruit (#126991 - $7.25)

I used this beautiful sketch of Mojo Monday #258 for my card. I am so thankful for weekly sketches, they are the best. This one for sure gave me some inspiration for my card.

Well, I have loads to do today.. So I better get going.
Enjoy the rest of your day and I hope to connect to you soon!
Inky hugs, Pauline
