Hi dear Stampers.

This morning I went with my daughter and with the rest of her Kindergarten Class to the Calgary Zoo. on their field trip. They (we) had such a blast. We learned all about Dinosaurs and fossils. The woman teaching us was so bright and with it and sweet. I actually learned a thing or two from this class. And as an icing on the cake we were able to see the penguins. We have been a couple of times to the zoo in these last few weeks, but the line up was just always so long (an hour and a half just to see them (...) for us to stand there and wait for our turn. So what a surprise was it for everyone to see them swimming and being all cute outside.

Speaking of icing on the cake.. what do you think of the icing on my ice cream cone card? It is all embossed. I so love how it turned out. I got together with my dear friend this weekend and we had so much fun creating these cards. It took a little more work, but the result is so super cute, that it was all worth our time. (hahaha, I sound like a old lady)

Anyhoo.. I gotta go. I hope you will have a good end of this beautiful Monday. The sun was out here and I think Spring just came a little bit closer to us.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Forever young thank you card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

How is your weekend going? I hope you're enjoying it. We were trying to have a slow weekend here in Calgary. As a family we have been so busy these last few weeks, that the thought of running all over the place again, was not what we wanted for this weekend. Well.. just hold that thought and I will do the same.. because it was one busy day. Our 3 kids woke up way to early, there was a birthday party to go to (which rocked and was so much fun!) My hubby went swimming with our oldest son and this evening we are going to have some sweet friends over.. + I had about 6 phone calls with my dear friends and family in Holland. Seriously, my ear feels almost numb (smile) But, slowly things are coming together for our trip and that is good.

I created this card on Tuesday for the Mojo Monday Challenge #236. I am in love with this sketch. It's a very easy one for the eyes and I love how I was able to showcase this beautiful retired Stampin Up Designer Series Paper. The image that you see is from the 'Forever Young' stamp set. This set has 5 beautiful classic images (#122572 - $22.95) and I have to say the tree is one of my favorites. I have a thing for trees... they are just the perfect touch to nature :) When I go to Holland I will visit one of my dearest friends in Hilversum. She lives close to the Hei (... I am sorry, I am not sure what the translation is of that one .. hutje op de hei ... :) and the forest. I so hope that we can make a long bike ride there and breathe in the fresh air these trees give off and see the little farms here and there, the horses in the fields. It is really breath taking. You think the mountains can do that to you.. well I tell you.. Holland can do it as well.

I also hope that I will be able to see the fields and fields of tulips. They are so stunning, so rich in colour! But I talked to my aunt yesterday and she told me that all those fields of flowers are now in full bloom. And with this cold weather this can mean that they will be done flowering when I am there. I know.. Such a bummer.. Oh well.. Something to look forward to another year, right!

Well, I need to keep it short today. But I am happy I got to say hi to you all.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Labels Collection Framelits die birthday card by Stampin Up and me.

Today I used for the first time my Labels Collection Framelits Dies. the innovative, thin, wafer-like design of these dies lets you see where you're placing the design before you cut! Layer dies inside each other to cut frames for stamp images. Cut single labels for accents or layering. Use with single sheets of card stock or Designer series Paper. The Labels Collection coordinates with our Apothecary Art Stamp Set. The Largest label is approximately 5-7/16" wide. This set includes 6 dies in a sturdy envelope for easy storage in our Big Shot Die storage (#125598 - $32.95)

Oh, how I love this beautiful little face of our oldest daugther. For my hubbies 35th birthday we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory with the kids.

And yes, in all the business to get ready with the kids, I completely forgot to look in the mirror :) (sigh) and yes my hair has 'I am a mom' written all over it...
But we had fun and it was such yummy food! Very kid-friendly and mom - friendly. No dishes to clean and we had left overs for the next day, so I didn't have to cook :)

All smiles!

Designer Series Paper and so much more! Clearance rack items can ONLY be placed through an online order and are available while supplies last!

I love it, how simple details and accents keep a card fresh and elegant.

Here I have for you the STAMPIN' UP! RETIRED PRODUCT UPDATE!

Mark your calendars! Stampin' Up! has announced the dates they will be releasing the stamp and accessory retired products lists.

  • The Retired Stamp List will be released on April 15, 2012 and stamps will be available through May 31, 2012.

  • The Retired Accessories/Décor Elements Lists will be released on April 25, 2012. Retiring accessories and Stampin' Up! Décor Elements (being discontinued) will only be available while supplies last so be sure to mark your calendar and ORDER EARLY.

  • I am sad to include in this little news flash, that the 2010-2012 In Color items (Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush, Poppy Parade) will be retiring with the release of the new catalogue as well. So if you're like me, then you want to make sure that you have enough of these colours in your stash of card stock, ink, markers and ribbon.

  • Stampin' Up! also announced, that starting this year, they have eliminated the Summer Mini Catalog. The future Holiday and Spring Minis will be bigger and last longer (5 months vs. 4, much easier on my brain). The annual catalog (new In Colors, stamps, designer series paper--woo hoo) will start a month earlier (June 1, 2012) and the Holiday Mini will start a month earlier as well (August 1, 2012--better timing for Halloween and fall projects). I'm really excited about this simplified schedule!

  • SO, PLEASE REMEMBER that the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Catalog will be released June 1, 2012, a month earlier than in the past :)

Hi dear Stampers, This card is guaranteed to get your paper crafting heart beating. I adore layers of colour and the perfect balance of textures, pearls and ribbon.

LeAnne from the Paper Players set the stage for a beautiful color combination of Not quite Navy, Pool Party and Certainly Celery. I added a little Old Olive colour touch myself and I was ready to roll.

And yes, I can almost hear you thinking... 'Isn't this card a bit to elegant for a masculine birthday card?' Yip, you're right.. I didn't create this card for my hubby. This one is coming in my suitcase to Holland. A dear friend of me will be having her birthday while I am there and I love to give this one to her. My daugther made this years birthday for her daddy. And he loved it! She is so creative and she just loves to come into my room as soon as I set my feet in the door to craft. Mom, can I help? Now, how can I resist ... It's so much fun crafting together anyway, right!

So I guess that's it for this post. but before I leave, I have to tell you how spoiled I am this week. Monday a dera friend came over and we created some beautiful cards together while catching up. Last night my dear friend Darlene came over and we worked on her super cute wedding favors and if all turns out well this evening I am creating cards again with another dear friend. I know what a week. My hubby has been out of town a whole lot these last few weeks, so these evenings are well spend in the mids of all my Stampin Up goodies. I am loving it and although he is missed, having the time to create and to be with my friends is sure a nice ad on!

Inky hugs, Pauline

Dasies Flower #2 Bigz Die card by Stampin Up and me

At Easter we went for a beautiful walk with the kids. I love those times!
The kids were all smiles and we so enjoyed teh first signs of Spring.

Our littlest one!

Just when you thought daisies couldn’t make you happier, we introduce another die with three more flowers on it. Voila, you're feeling a bit happier, aren't you! You’ll need a Sizzix Big Shot machine and standard cutting pads to use this die 5-1/2″ x 6″ Rule-based die which can cut up to 50 different materials (Daisies Flower #2 Bigz Die - 114520 - $24.95)

Isn`t this a beauty! One sweet downline friend of me `Dolores` created it for me. Isn`t she the sweetest thing! It`s just to bad, that we have never met in real life. She has send me the most caring and kindest little notes over the past few months and always reminds me of what a great God we serve. With this card, she truly gave me a huge smile on my face! She wrote me that she had made 60 of them, to send out this Easter. I tell you, she has such a huge heart for people and to me she`s a real trooper! I love her card. She has such a great style. It is so elegant and sweet. Inside it says the following:

The miracle, the gift, the promise of a loving God...

Wishing you an Easter filled with His Love!

I hope the day is coming soon that we can truly connect and create some cards together. Thank you Dolores for sending me this card! That was so sweet of you!

Hi dear Stampers.

How has your day been going? I hope this blog post finds you all healthy and happy :) My weeks are just flying by here in Calgary - Canada. Probable in a good way :) I have been pretty busy with our 3 kiddo`s. There is never a boring moment in this household. That is for sure. + in about 2 weeks I will be on the plane with my 2 little girls to the Netherlands to visit with my family and friends. I can`t wait to see everyone again. It has been way to long! And I so miss them. So slowly I am starting to pack and plan the days that I will be there. There are so many beautiful people and family out there, that I would love to connect to, but then.. there is just not enough time to see them all. I find it such a struggle not to disappoint anyone.. But I am sure I will and to some of them I will have to tell, that I am not able to connect. (sigh) But.. the good news is.. I (we are) AM GOING TO HOLLAND!!!! Woohoo!

I created this card last week for the Mojo Monday Challenge. What a bummer eh, that I wasn`t able to find the time to turn it into a blog post and to connect it to their website.. My lab top was also not cooperating to well with me these last few weeks.. So.. yip, I wasn`t able to leave any comments on all your beautiful creations.. +Creating a blog post have been ... yes.. almost impossible!.. So FYI.. I have been there on your blog.. (smile) but I had to silently leave again without a trace.. So sorry about that! I hope this soon will pass! Don`t give up on me yet!

Well, the kids returned from school! I am going to be the mom again :) I love that little space where our youngest daugther sleeps and the other 2 are at school and I can be.. and do.. what I love to do!

Inky hugs, Pauline
