Make an impression with the new Stampin Up Texture Boutique embossing machine
Oh my sweetness, how cute is THIS?!
It’s an itty bitty embossing machine! If you don’t have a Big Shot yet, but love to emboss paper, this might be for you. Or if you want a machine that is easily portable to go to a crafting day with friends, then this is your new fashion accessory to bring along!
Due to our partnership with Sizzix, we are pleased to be able to offer a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine in our North American markets. We have 4,000 available to be sold only while supplies last. If this product test goes well, we may offer the Texture Boutique again in the future.
You're welcome to watch this Stampin’ Up video with Carrie Cudney:
The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary card stock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut. (It's probable better if you get the Big Shot, if you want to cut with dies as well as emboss)
Because this is a product test, the Texture Boutique is not branded with the Stampin' Up! logo. It comes in Sizzix packaging and is the same color and design that is sold in stores.
(the beauty of buying it from Stampin Up is, that you can use it to earn Hostess dollars as well :)
'Tis the season of giving, and the Texture Boutique makes a wonderful gift for anyone who wants to create their own elegant embossed art. To help you with your gift-giving needs, we're offering a special value bundle that saves you $10.90. If you prefer,
you can also purchase the Texture Boutique alone.

Delicate Designs Embossing Folder Thank you card, by Stampin Up and me
Good Monday to you dear Stampers.
I hope you had a great and relaxing weekend. You know, our days went just by so fast!
We were in Fairmont HotSprings BC to visit our family. It was like going from the winter back into the Fall.
Calgary had so much snow in the past few weeks and Fairmont only had some snow on top of the Rocky Mountains. The kids has so much fun, biking again on the clear roads and playing outside without all that winter gear.
And I didn't mind that I didn't have to shovel the snow for a couple of days :)
While our oldest son went hunting with his Grandpa and dad, I created some cards with our oldest daugther. It was real fun to connect with her over a bunch of card stock, stamps and ink.
And she's great at it. I love seeing her passion for card making grow!
I rolled for the first time my new Stampin Up Delicate Designs Folder (#127023 - $10.95) through my Big Shot with a piece of Take with Teal card stock within it. I am always surprised at how well these embossing folders work. It seriously only takes a couple of seconds to create that beautiful embossing on the card stock.
This embossing folder is one of a set of 2 different embossing folders that you receive for your $10.95. It really is a great deal.
Here is a little peak at the Rocky Mountains that I took on our way to Fairmont B.C.
I love their snow white coat.
Here you can see that rich texture that the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder
can give your card stock..
2 folders to emboss card edges (ea. 6-1/2" x 2-5/16"). Coordinates with Large Scallop Edgelits Dies. Textured Impressions Embossing Folders emboss a single sheet of paper and make deep impressions. Use with the Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, and the Multipurpose Platform.
Today I was inspired by this Beautiful layout from the Mojo Monday Challenge #267.
I love how the Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up
(#120953- $8.50 for 24 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 ")
mixes with almost every other colour that is out there on the Market.
Stampin' Up!'s high-quality card stock is dyed with pure color all the way through, so you'll never get a white core! Available as individual color packages, you'll love having plenty of your favorite colors on hand!
■ 80-lb. weight
■ 24 sheets per package
■ Card stock is acid free, lignin free, and buffered

Have a great rest of the day!

Engraved Greetings Thank you card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers.
Thanks for stopping by. How is your day going? We are having loads of snow here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I heard there is going to be about 25 cm of snow. Ouch. I know..
Anyhoo. To me it was a beautiful day to hide out in my craft room and create something new.
Have you used these new Apothecary Accents Framelits yet from Stampin Up? (# 127003 - $31.95) I love how before you use them, you can place them over top of an image to see if they fit.. and when they do.. it is easy peasy.. you just roll it through your Big Shot and you have a beautifully shaped image.
See what you're cutting with Framelits dies. Use with the Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, and the Multipurpose Platform. Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies are designed to cut images from World Treasures Stamp Set and Layered Labels Stamp Set. 4 dies (largest: 4-7/8" x 2-3/4"). Cuts a single sheet of paper.
Today I was inspired with the beautifully designed layout at the Mojo Monday Challenge Blog. their #266 - the layout, is just so GORGEOUS!! I loved working with it! Thanks Julee for sharing this one with us.
I loved working with all my layers, the ribbon, the pearls, the embossing folder. Even my Petite Pennants Builder Punch (#122361 - $22.95) came in handy.
I punched out about 16 little cute banners with this punch and adhered them to one of the layers on my card.
Can you spot them?
The Stampin Sisters in Christ Card Challenge Blog site encouraged us to create a 'Thank You' card this week. I loved seeing all the different ideas, the many sweet crafters created in the last couple of days. Here is my take on their challenge # 164..
Amp up your celebration, holiday, or school pages with our Petite Pennants Punch. Our Builder Punches let you punch multiple coordinating shapes at once. Layer all the coordinating shapes together or mix and match individual pieces for a look all your own. So many creative options!
Do you still have your Engraved Greentings retired Stampin Up set? I so love mine.
And I am so happy I was able to use it today!
It is such a bold sentiment. Those are hard to find.
Well, this day is flying by again.
The snow is still falling and I have some clearing to do outside.
Who needs a work out at a Gym,
if you have about 35 stair-steps to clear the whole winter, right :)
Inky hugs, Pauline

Owl Occasions thank you card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers.
I know, I know, 2 cards in a day is probable a bit to over the top, but I really wanted to show it to you today. + I realised just in time this afternoon, that if I would wait until tomorrow with posting this card, I would be to late with adding it to the Friday Mashup Challenge # 83 - blog.
My inspiration for the layout came from the talented Amy. Please hop over to their blogs to see all those beautiful cards. I loved checking in with all of them.
The Colour Queen ladies provided me with this beautiful colour combo.
Their #162 Challenge was so much fun to work with.
As you can see I used the following Stampin Up colours to create this card.
Cherry Cobbler, Crumble Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper white and Summer Starfruit.
And last but not least. The Lovely Paper Players helped me to finish of my card. Their theme Challenge #120 of this week is 'Give Thanks'!
Dear Ann came up with that theme and I truly loved adding that theme to my card.
My 1-1/4 Inch Square Punch from Stampin Up was a huge help for this card.
Together with the 1-3/8 Inch Square Punch from Stampin Up, it was as easy as 1-2-3- to frame this cute little owl image!
Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect.
■ New, sleeker body style
■ Larger surface area offers precise cutting and leverage
■ Locks to store
Here you can see how gorgeous this new Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon is from Stampin Up. (#126846 - $12.25 for 10 beautiful yards)
And what can say. I am so in love with this new Owl Occasions stamp set from Stampin Up! (#128003 - $22,95)
This sweet stamp set of 14 different images is included in the Holiday Catalogue 2012.
Aren't the details of these images so super cute?

Sock Monkey card by Stampin Up and me
Good morning, dear Stampers.
Do you remember this cute little face?
It is from the retired Stampin Up Sock Monkey stamp set.
I had some dear friends over to craft and chat yesterday and one of the girls mentioned how she wanted to create a card with Mr or Miss Sock Monkey. I loved her excitement about this stamp set. And it's true, it's the cutest thing, ever. It is just to bad that I forgot to take a photo of the card she made. It was real sweet and so well done.
Anyhoo.. later in the evening, while I was cleaning up my craft room Miss. Monkey was still there on the table and I just had to create something with her cute little face. I just couldn't help myself .. the way she looked at me.. Really! She needs to stop that :)
This is what I came up with. A very simple and clean card. And I love it!
As you can see, I used the Stampin Up's Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add some real beautiful texture to my Soft Suede Card stock.
It just gives it that extra touch.
This Impressions embossing folder gives each card such a beautiful Natural wood 'look'. It has the perfect card background for any season. Folder: 4-1/2" x 6-3/8". Use with Big Shot machine, Multipurpose Platform, and Standard Cutting Pads.
(#127821 - $9,95)
I added a little (retired) Stampin Up flower brad to ad some extra dimension and cuteness to this card.
Here is another close look at this beautiful impression that this folder leaves on your layer of card stock.
you know, I can't tell you enough.. how refreshing it was to make an actual card again yesterday.
For the past few weeks, most of what I did was prepping all the layers of the 12 different cards that the ladies were going to finish of / create at the Card Buffet last Sunday.
It was more work than I had expected it to be.
But it was so worth my time and energy!
Everyone that came had such a good time connecting, crafting and having fun while creating the cards! And they all went home with some real beauy of cards!
I realised only at the end that I forgot to take pictures. I know.... I would have loved to show you a little glimpse of that fun afternoon.
I guess I was just to busy connecting, helping and enjoying myself at the Card Buffet as well..
Many of the ladies asked me if there would be another event like this one coming up.
Well, I am happy to tell you, that next year, February,
there will be another Card Buffet for you to join.
I will keep you posted with the details of that one, once that date is coming up closer!
Well.. that's it for today dear everyone.
Enjoy your Wednesday and as always I would love to hear from you.
Inky hugs, Pauline.
