Easy Christmas punch card by Stampin Up and me.

Welcome back to my blog and thanks for stopping by again..

Today's card doesn't have a whole lot of stamping involved. I am not sure where I got the idea of this card.. but it always stuck with me after I saw it and I wanted to give it a try. I love how it turned out. I used the Stampin Up's scallop circle punch to create the wreath. With the 1 inch circle punch I created the inside of the wreath. Easy peasy. Some real Red ribbon for the bow and 'Klaar was Klara', (that last sentence was for my dutch blog friends :)

I love all the layers of the Whisper White card stock. So fun to create a door with just one colour and all those pieces.

Then this morning Stampin Up surprised me with this Birthday card. Yip, this is the month where I celebrate my birthday. So fun. Now I get to order something from their catalogue with a 35% discount. As a demonstrator there is already the 20% discount that you get when you place an order, which is great :) 15% on top of that is even more prefect. Thanks Stampin Up! Now, I really have to bring those empty bottles and cans to the recycling to get some cash to actually order something from you... Just kidding'.

And it was actually the first time that I saw something that was created with the My Digital studio from Stampin Up. This card is a real beauty. The colours are just like the real ones in the catalogue. + the extra diamonds are the perfect touch to bling it up. Love it! Well.. I got some browsing through the Stampin Up catalogue to do... Any ideas anyone?

Welcome Christmas + Northern Frost decorative Strip die by Stampin Up and me.

Good Wednesday Morning dear Stampers. How is your day going? I hope I didn't scare you to much while you were scrolling down this page today. I took this photo of our son and his grandpa on the evening of Halloween, just before the 'trick or treating' started to take place. These 2 had so much fun running around, scaring people and gathering candy. I tell you.. we have enough candy for the whole year that is ahead of us. I wish you could see them. Our littlest one wasn't to impressed when she first saw this silly old man. So sad. She got really scared. Grandpa quickly took of his mask and started to talk to her, but it took her a while before she had her smile back on her little face. The silliness of the day doesn't end here yet. Grandma went that same day for some appointment to the doctor and grandpa came along. Yes, you got that right. He was wearing this mask there as well.. telling the doctor he needed some plastic surgery or something.. I can only imagine the look on this doctors face and the other patients around them in the waiting room... I know.. I know.. Now you know why our kids adore their grandparents.. and what's not to love about them! They are the best!

I am happy to share another card with you today. Last night a dear (Facebook) friend (smile) came over to create some cards with me and grandma. So many times we wanted to connect in the last year.. it just never worked out. I know.. life gets in the way or something. She brought some yummy Raspberry cake that her sister made. O my.. so good.. I am having one right now as we speak.. as I write... :)

We had such a good time. We laughed lots and chatted the evening away and actually made some real cute cards. I really hope we can do it again sometime. (hint, hint)

• That little snowflake that you see comes from the Northern Frost decorative Strip die from stampin Up (#120901 - $26.95 for 8 different pretty snowflakes) I love them. They are just so crisp and perfect I just rolled it through my Big Shot and voila!


• That beautiful sentiment that you see on the card is from the 'Welcome Christmas' Stampin Up stamp set (#120597 - $24.95 for a set of 5 stamps).


• I also used the Top Note die from Stampin Up (#113463 - $26.95) to ad that extra pretty layer to my card.

Trendy Trees and Designer Frames textured Impressions Embossing folder by Stampin Up and me

Happy Thursday everyone! We have one beautiful day here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The sun is out and I filled some garbage bags with leaves today. Way easier in the sun than after the rain touched all those leaves. Than it is an icky job. Now it was fun! And it smelled so good. Oh I love the fall.

+ I got some super DUPER good news from one of my dearest friends in Holland today. She is seriously thinking of coming over for a visit for Christmas and the New Years this year. Oh I am so thrilled. I and we as a family love spending time with her. She is fun, she's beautiful, she has a great personality, she is so caring, she loves our kids and she has a deep faith in God. Yip we love her! I also think that we're going to hit our 18 years of friendship this year.. ( :) (this smile is for you Ellie) Now that's worth a celebration as well, right. (She probable knows the amount of years that we are friends better than me.. so don't take my word for that one.) Anyway.. We will find out soon if she was able to book her ticket. Okay...

The card I created for my post today was such an easy card to make!

• I used one of the images of the Trendy Trees Stampin Up set. (#113258 - $21.95 for a set of 8 beautiful stamps) I love that set! If you think you saw this image before on my blog.. than you are right.. :) It is one of my favorites sets. I don't think I will ever get tired of it!



• For the first time I used one of the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. (#123130 - $10.95 for 2 different frames) Doesn't this frame make this card look so classy? Love it! I rolled this folder through the Big Shot and there it was.



• I used some Old Olive card stock and some retired Only Orange Stampin Up card stock. Those 2 are made for each other don't you think?



• That beautiful oval Very Vanilla frame that you see there is now on sale in the Clearance section of the Stampin Up online store. There is a cute blue tin full of these and other stunning frames that will match many of your SU punches. It is called the Hodgepodge Hardware.

Well.. the day is coming to an end here again. Tomorrow some of my dear friends are coming by to create some cards. Can't wait to sit down, chat and have a good time with them.

Happy Monday dear you! How was your weekend?

My weekend was really something else. With 2 of my dear friends I went to the cutest and cozy wooden cabin (and yip that was a real Grizzly bear once, that you see hanging on the wall there) to have a weekend filled with stampin' and card making. The time passed by so quickly. There were no kids, no hubbies, no meals to make, it was just the 3 of us listening to some good music, eating healthy and not so healthy snacks, while we were creating our cards and chatted the night and day away. It was perfect. I had a boatload of SU supplies with me. So we could stamp our hearts out.

• One of the cards I created was this one. I used the retired Sew Suite Stampin Up stamp set. This weekend I only used one of the images.. and I am already pumped to try out the other ones too. They are all so sweet!


• I also added one part of a sheet of the Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper (#122355 - $13.50 for 12 double sided 12x12 '' sheets.)


• For this card I used a lot of the Stampin Up Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Pool Party card stock. These colors just works perfect with this image. It has that retro flare to it.


• I also added a Flower Brad as a finishing touch to this card. (#119734 - $11.50 for 28 brads: 8 ea. of 6 colours from the Brights Collection: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Tempting Turquiose and Rich Razzleberry)


• The Poppy Parade flower I punched out with the 2 -3/8'' Scallop Stampin Up Circle Punch (#118874 - $22.95)


• The Whisper White circle I punched out with the 1- 3/4" Stampin Up Circle Punch (#119850 - $22.95)


• The last circle layer I punched out with the 1- 3/8" SU Circle Punch (#119860 - $21.95).

Greeting Card kids Pumpkin card by Stampin Up and me

Good afternoon dear Stampers. Thanks for popping in again. I have one beauty of a card to share with you. I created it with one of the images of the Greetin Card Kids stamp set created by Stampin Up (page 34 of the 2011/2012 SU Catalogue - $19.95 - #120633)

I love all the different layers in this card. One of the layers I created with my Stampin Up Big shot. (#113439 - $122.95) (Now for free on top of the already $200 in free products, when you sign up as a demonstrator. I used the Lattice die (#115958 - $26.95) to get this beautiful pattern. The retired Only Orange really makes this card pop together with the Old Olive card stock (#100702 - $8.50 for 24 sheets of 8- 1/2 x 11'').

I got my inspiration from the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge #116. Thanks Margaret Moody, this is really a sketch I will use again.

This evening after our 3 kiddo's are in bed I am off to my craft room again. Not only to clean up, but also to gather some materials for my upcoming card making weekend with some dear friends. We're heading of to Sundre. There is the sweetest little cabin with one huge table, a wood stove, (no shower :), a river + an espresso machine. With no kids around this will be a weekend where it isour turn to make a mess on the table with all our Stampin Up goodies.. And in combination with the fact that we have all the time in the world to create our cards and chat, it's just going to be fantastic! Love it.

Shalom by Stampin Up and me

Shalom to you dear Stampers.

I can't tell you enough how happy I am with this new Stampin Up stamp called 'Shalom'. (#121315 - $9.95)

I am sure that most of you know that the Hebrew word shalom means "peace." However, "peace" is only one small part of the meaning of shalom. "Shalom" is used to both greet people and to bid them farewell, and it means much more than "peace, hello or goodbye"....

According to Strong's Concordance 7965 Shalom also means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. Shalom comes from the root verb shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full.

Yeshua (Jesus) is called Sar shalom, Prince of Peace, which perfectly describes the ministry and personality of our Messiah (Isaiah 9:6).
In other words, the word shalom is a mighty blessing!
Proverbs 18:21 tells us there is life or death in the power of the tongue. Therefore, whenever you employ the word "shalom" you are speaking into someone's life all the wonderful things that shalom means!

Numbers 6:24-26 says this: YAHWEH bless you and keep you. YAHWEH make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. YAHWEH lift up His face upon you and give you SHALOM. In the name of SAR SHALOM - the Prince of Peace.

Sorry.. I couldn't start this blogpost with just some ingredients for this card. I love it, that I can create cards with this meaning attached to it.

I used a Mojo Monday Challenge from 2 weeks ago to get the inspiration for this card. & don't you agree that the Kiwi Kiss looks so stunning together with the Concor Crush. I love it. It's just the perfect combination for this card.

Well, the sun is still out, I am going to let it touch my skin :)

Good Monday evening dear Stampers. Thanks for stopping by again. Guess what, I just found out today that my Canon camera is fixed. Wow, that has been a long 2 months without my own camera. Here and there I have been able to borrow some camera's from some sweet friends. But it is not the same as my Goldie oldie ;) So guess where I am heading tomorrow morning? Yip, the camera store.
