Stampin Up's new Color renovation and FREE SHIPPING for 3 days starting this saturday
Hi dear Stampers.
Welcome back to my blog. Thanks for stopping by again.
I received this super cute dutch stamp set from a dear friend of mine. I loved playing with it. I am not the best at colouring images as you can see, but I am still happy on how it turned out.
It is actually my first sentiment (stamp) that I own, that is written in the dutch language. All the other ones I have are in English.. Can you guess what it says there?
Congratulations with your birthday.
Yes, in Holland we don't really say, Happy birthday.. we use 'Congratulations' . We congratulate the person who is having the birthday, their parents, their friends that are visiting at the same time as we visit this birthday person and while we are saying: 'Gefeliciteerd' ('Congratulations') we usually give each person at that party 3 kisses on the cheeks..
I know, lots of kissing when going to a birthday party in Holland. (smile)
The 'Just Add Ink' Challenge ladies have one super sweet Photo Challenge this week #160. It is a fall photo, with warm white blankets, leafs and everything. I am not sure what part of the world these ladies are living in, but they were all talking about the fall that is coming close.. Oh my.. Here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada we are just coming out of the winter and the thought of fall, really creeped me out a bit. I did get inspired by the blankets and brought that accent back in my card of today.
The Mojo Monday ladies had a beautiful layout Challenge as well. I had to turn this #287 layout to it's side (so all my layers would fit nicely on my card. With what I had in mind didn't work well when I had the card standing up straight. ) and this is what I came up with.
I took the colours for my card from this weeks Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge #156. Marina Mist, Certainly Celery and Bashful blue (uche.. Pool Party.. )
Please hop over to their blogs and leave them some love, they really have outdone themselves.

Swallowtail butterfly card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers.
Thanks for hopping by my blog today.
And yes, I am back with another Summer Starfruit coloured card.
I really love the warm tones it holds, when it spreads it's love :) all over my card.
Today, I inked up for the first time my Swallowtail stamp set from Stampin Up.
I love this stamp set. I so see God's beauty in these elegant creatures, called butterflies. To me they reflect hope and new life.
And for that reason, I was so thrilled when Stampin Up added this stamp set to their collection.
Please CLICK HERE, if you would like to purchase this stamp set in my Online Stampin Up store.
This gorgeous, plus-size butterfly will provide a breathtaking focal point for scrapbook pages and cards. Or sprinkle it with adhesive and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, then turn it into a one-of-a-kind tag for an extra-special gift
I created this card for one sweet friend and downline member of the Pursuit of Stampiness Pals (and one that I see and connect to, way to little). She had send me one gorgeous card over Easter. We were gone, so it was a sweet surprise coming home to her beautiful handmade card.
So when, all was unpacked from our little get away, I jumped into my craft studio and got crafty.
I had hopped over to the Paper Players to find one sweet and fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge #139 created by the lovely and talented Jaydee. I picked the pearls (uche 'dazzling diamonds'), a tag and ribbon. And I came up with my butterfly design card.
The dear Stampin' Royalty Challenge ladies had one similar idea on their beautiful blog with their Pearls and ribbon theme Challenge #170. I hope my dazzling diamonds are close enough. They spark as well, right. I was just out of pearls and I hope they don't mind me using these other cute blingies!
Oh, how I love the Rocky mountains here in Canada. We actually already spotted some beautiful butterflies in the valleys.. It seriously made my heart jump. I loved watching them dance around in the open skies!
Well, I hope you enjoyed todays post.
Hope to connect again soon.
Inky hugs, Pauline

Henry says chalkboard card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers.
Thanks for stopping by.
I love LOVE how this card turned out.
The other day the UPS man delivered my white craft ink pad from Stampin Up, along with some other yummy new goodies.
So when I saw the Friday Mashup Challenge # 101 of this week, I knew I wanted to play along with their Chalkboard technique Challenge.
When you take a good look at the 'Henry says' Stampin Up stamp set, (#128093 - $26.95) you can almost smell that dusty chalk on those vintage old chalkboards. The lines on the images of the elephant and the sentiments are kind of drawn in a shaky way, if you know what I mean. Just perfect for any chalkboard card you want to create.
It was seriously so easy to create this chalk technique. I didn't do any embossing. I just inked up the image in the whisper white ink and I stamped it on my Basic Black card stock.
I also sponged the edges of card stock a little with the white ink as well, to create some nice contrast in this card. Then I wiped off the excess ink with some tissue. After that I lightly sponged around the images and in blank areas with my Whisper White Craft ink to create the look of chalk dust.
And there you go..
Henry is ready to celebrate his new chalkboard look!
I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did creating it.
Inky hugs, Pauline

To start it all – you need to take a 12” x 4 3/4” piece of card.

Isn't it the cutest thing? I love it!

Elegant Butterfly card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers.
Thanks for popping by.
Today's Clean and Simple card uses the colour combo from
the Stampin' Royalty Challenge #167.
The lovely ladies encouraged us to use the colours: Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Soft Suede. I was kind of out of the last one, so I picked something that came the closest - Crumb Cake. Always a hit in my books.
I love a quick and simple card and my SU punches helped me just to do that, this evening.
Don't laugh, but I think that I have used 7 different Stampin Up punches for this card. I know, I am spoiled.
Can you spot them?
Yip, this is Elegant Butterfly Punch (#127526 - $21.95) is one of them.

Lattice Die - Fancy flower punch card by Stampin Up and me
Hi dear Stampers,
I had some time last night to create. Oh, I love when that happens. We had a whole load of snow on the weekend here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and after plowing way to much snow away, I was happy to crawl in my warm and cozy studio and leave everything that was on my 'to do list' behind me. (sigh)
At SU regionals last Saturday they taught us how to create some different 3-D flowers. I have to say, these flowers are just so so sweet :) & I am in love!
So today's card for sure needed a flower :) right.. I punched 2 flowers out of my Summer Starfruit Stampin Up card stock (#126839 - $8.50 for 24 sheets), with my Fancy Flower Punch (#118073 - $22.95).
The next step was to spray them with some water and to crumble them up.
After that I opened them up again and glued the top flower to the bottom flower by using mini glue dots. + One of the gorgeous and super cute Sale-A-Bration buttons of this year to finish my flower off.
My Stampin Up's Lattice Die (#115958 - $26.95) never disappoints. I rolled it 3 times through my Big Shot with 3 different papers. After that, it was like making a puzzle on my card. I mixed and matched the little pieces that were cut so nicely and I glued them on to the base of my Pool Party card stock.
Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Lattice Bigz die create delicate designs from any card stock, Designer Series paper, or other material. Use the Lattice design as an elegant overlay or a focal piece on your project. This Lattice die was designed as a repeatable image, allowing you to create beautiful designs on larger projects as well.
■ Can cut through multiple sheets of card stock, Texture Cuts wood sheets, window sheets, Décor Elements sheets, and more
■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot machine and standard cutting pads G281
■ Die size: 5-1/2" x 6"
These 2 Challenges inspired me to create my card last night.
LeAnne from The Paper Players gave us one beautiful Challenge #135 for this week with the 'In stitches'theme - So anything sewing, stitched was welcome. That's how I came up with my quilt idea for my card.
And the lovely ladies of the Friday Mashup #99 gave me a great palette of colours to work with.
Please hop over to their blogs to see what the design teams have created. And for sure leave them some love. They so deserve it!
My Layout inspiration came from the 'Elke kaart een Feestje' Challenge #157. I turned the sketch upside down and turned the squares into circles and this is what I came up with.
I love visiting dutch blogs.. As you might know, I was born and raised in The Netherlands and to be able to participate with other dutch creative people, really makes my day :)
Please CLICK HERE if you would like to purchase the Fancy Flower Punch from Stampin Up.
Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect. The large cutting surface of our punches give you better punching leverage and cutting precision, and the sleeker body makes it easy to store.
■ Adds interest to scrapbook pages and cards
■ Has an easy-to-use thumb lever
Well, my kitchen is calling me.
I have my beautiful family to feed :)
