One in a million butterfly card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Wowsy,  is it Wednesday already?.. I can't believe how those days are slipping through my fingers. Thanks for taking the time in your day to stop by my blog. I so appreciate it.

Today I wanted to create a Clean and Simple card for a dear friend of mine who just celebrated her 50th birthday. She is one amazing woman and I love her dearly and so many of my friends do as well, so I knew what sentiment I had to pick for this card.

Expressing your feelings to someone special can sometimes be difficult, but this ten-piece set gives you lots of inspiration for doing just that. Use it to create handmade cards in advance--so you'll always be ready with the right sentiment when the need arises!

Isn't this a beauty of a stamp set? It is called:

'One in a million' created by Stampin Up (#126382 - $22.95)

Click HERE to go to my online Stampin Up Store, if you would like to purchase this beautiful set.

Aren't these little butterflies the cutest ever? Nope, I didn't cut them out by myself.. I just rolled the Whisper White card stock through my Big Shot and guess what came out.. These little cuties :)

Give your creativity wings with our Beautiful Wings Embosslits die (#118138 - $14.95). This beautifully-etched die cuts and embosses a Beautiful Wings at the same time.

■ Designed to cut through one sheet of paper or card stock at a time
■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot machine, standard cutting pads, and multipurpose platform
■ Die size: 2-1/4" x 2-1/2"

cute Beautiful Wings Embosslits die

Can you find the image in the stamp set that I used for my card? Yip, there it is :) It is from one of my favorite Stamp sets created by Stampin Up.

The perfect accent for your next project can start with a simple circle. This set offers circles with all sorts of lively, fresh designs to choose from. Whether you're decorating a tag, creating a card, or adding dimension to a page, you can find a design

Click HERE, if you would like to order this Circle Circus Stampin Up stamp set.

 #115778 - $35.95

The sweet Dynamic Duos ladies with their 37th Challenge inspired me to pick the colours for my card.

The colors of this week are Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I hope they don't mind I added a little Early Espresso as well from Stampin Up. I wanted to give my card just that little extra 'pop' ... (haha I don't even know if that is good English.. )

The Addicted to CAS #5 Challenge ladies encouraged us to use a heart or some hearts in our cards. Well, that was an easy thing to do for my card.. Hearts and butterflies, what more does a CAS card need :)

Well, that's it for today.
As always, I love to hear from you.
Your comments mean so much to me!
Enjoy this beautiful day.
Inky hugs, Pauline

Feeling Sentimentel Celebration card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Welcome back at my blog. I am so thrilled to show you my card today. Outside it is cold here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 2 days ago, it was + 15 Celsius outside. I had a nice coffee with my hubby in the sun outside. And we both felt like Spring was in the air. But today.. Seriously.. Today is a whole other story. It is - 34 Celsius with the wind chill.

So guess what I did today. Yip.. I stayed inside and I created a card. And I wanted it to have happy colors. Something bright and cheery.

It wasn't hard to pick the image for my card today.

I had earned this 'Feeling Sentimentel' Stampin Up stamp set, when I placed my order back in January 2013. As SU demonstrators we had the privilege to earn them a month before Sale-A-Bration started this year. So with all the new SU craft goodies that came out in the Spring Catalogue this year it was easy to spend $60 on some pretty beautiful items, so I could pick this gorgeous stamp set for free.

The layout of my card was designed by the lovely and sweet LeAnne of the Paper Players.

It really is a beauty to work with. Thanks LeAnne for the inspiration. You did it again! What a beautiful design.

Please click HERE to go to their fun Paper Players Blog Challenge #130, to see what the sweet ladies and man have created this week.

I like to show you the Inkpad that I used to ink up my image from the Feeling Sentimentel stamp set.

It is 'Midnight Muse from Stampin Up (# 126860 - $7.25)  It is one of the In Colors of 2012-2013.

Classic Stampin’ Pads and refills come in a wonderful variety of exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, grouped in families to make choosing coordinating colors simple. Exclusively designed stamp pad lids fold under to make inking large images like background stamps easy.
■ Dye-based ink
■ Acid-free
■ Coordinate with exclusive Stampin’ Up! card stock, pastels, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, and Stampin’ Write Markers
■ New firm foam pad provides better ink coverage for your stamps!
■ 1/2 oz. ink refills sold individually or in color families

Here you see one of the luxurious ribbons that you can also earn for free during Stampin Up's Sale-A-Bration - 2013. It is the Island Indigo Sycamore Street 1/4 ribbon. It comes with 2 other spools of ribbon and a set of beautiful and matching buttons.

Free, with your $60 order.

Please click HERE to start shopping.

I would also like to ad my card to a blog I found today on the web. It is called: Dutch Card Lovers Challenge site #171.

As you may know, I immigrated about 11 years ago from Holland to Canada, so I will always have a special place for that beautiful country in my heart. Anyhoo.. This blog had so many fun challenges in the past, and I have totally missed them :)

They encouraged us to use 5 colours from their collection of colors that they say are from the 2013 Spring Collection of fashion in Holland.

Well sweet ladies (dames) Here is my card. I hope you enjoy it.

Well.. again, thanks for stopping by.

I love to have you visit.

Stay warm and I hope you will find some time in your day to get crafty.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Horse Frontier thank you card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Welcome back to my blog.

I am so excited that I was able to play a little this morning

with my new 'Horse Frontier' Clear mount Stampin Up stamp set.

It is so so gorgeous.

I love the sentiments that came with it.

If you know me, than you know that I love a simple life.

It doesn't need to be fancy..

As long as there is love and respect, natural beauty and compassion in our home

than we're good!

I created this card with 2 challenges in mind.

The first one is CAS-ual Fridays, Challenge #87..

Their theme of this week is:  'Make Your Mark.; and they are encouraging us to use our markers.

I love my markers. I used one of my Stampin Up markers to colour on the rubber of the sentiment of this card. I find that it makes the stamped sentiment look just a little different than when I just stamp it on the ink pad.

When I colour on the rubber with my marker, I can control where I want  my ink to be darker or lighter. It is fun, you should try it out.

I am not sure if you can see the result as well as you would in real life.. But .. it's there.. Some letters and words are more out there than others. I like that.

There really is a little cowboy in all of us! This beautifully designed, four-piece stamp set is perfect for creating cards and projects for the horse lovers and equestrians in your life. Masculine set is also great for farm-themed projects--or for pages and cards where you want to create the look and feel of the Old West.

Here is a better look at this beautiful 'Horse Frontier' Clear mount Stamp set set from Stampin Up. (#126347 - $17.95)

Please click HERE to visit my online store to ad this beauty to your stamp collection.

Have you ever visited the Just Add Ink Challenge blog? I love hopping by their blog to be inspired. This week they have one beautiful sketch #150 for you to work with. I added a little 'Pauline' touch to it to spice it up a little (smile)

Congrats sweet ladies with your 150th Challenge. You girls rocked each and every one of them. What a gift it has been to see all those beautiful cards. You have sure inspired me!

Well, before I forget to mention. That beautiful DSP that you see on my card, is yours for free when you place an order with me of $60. It is one of the designs that is offered with the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper. (#127540 - 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 designs of double sided designs of 12 x 12 paper)
