Petite Pocket Big Shot die gift card holders created by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

I am glad you took some time in your day to stop by. Welcome!

Today, I was working on another project for my upcoming workshop here in Calgary, Alberta

And yes, I know, it's already late in the evening, but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow with posting my super cute gift card holders that I created with my Petite Pocket Big Shot Die from Stampin Up. (#123131 - $52.95)

Use this adorable pocket to enclose small, thoughtful gifts and delightful surprises! The innovative designs in these longer Bigz dies give you new and interesting creative options. Use with Extended Premium Crease Pads. The Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die works best using only one layer at a time. Measures 6" x 13-3/4".

I loved how easy it was to roll this die through my Big Shot. Fold it, glue it and dress it up.

I started with the beautiful color palette created by the Play Date Cafe Challenge #168.
Their projects were amazing. I loved each one of them and I couldn't wait to get going with these colors on my own creations.

But after I was done with my first gift card holder, I didn't want to stop. I wanted to see how it would like like with other colours. And other designs.

And as you can see, each one of them is loaded with the sweetest Stampin Up goodies. I used punches and embossing folders, sparkles and inks.. I seriously had a blast and I can't wait to show these in 2 weeks to the ladies that are coming to the workshop.

Pss: if you live in the Calgary area and you would like to join us at the card / paper craft workshop, please convo me and I can give you the details. It is on a Sunday afternoon, February the 24th. Me and the girls would love to connect with you.

On one of the little gift card / little noets holders ,I used the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (#127023 - $10.95) Aren't they gorgeous?

2 folders to emboss card edges (ea. 6-1/2" x 2-5/16"). Coordinates with Large Scallop Edgelits Dies. Textured Impressions Embossing Folders emboss a single sheet of paper and make deep impressions. Use with the Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, and the Multipurpose Platform.

I had also hopped over to the Runway Inspired Challenge Blog #29. I always get such a kick out of the Clean and Simple projects that the sweet ladies make. They take a runway outfit photo and let the photo inspire you to create a project.

In this weeks Challenge there was a lot of pink, crumb cake-ish and cream-ish colours, bold lines and a hint of vintage beauty. I hope my cards reflects those themes..

Well, it's late.. very late.. way to late for this SAHM ...
I seriously need to hop over to my own bed :)

Inky hugs, Pauline

All dressed up birthday card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

Have you seen the new "All Dressed Up" stamp set and coordinating Framelits Dies from the new 2013 Stampin' Up! Spring Mini catalog?!

I have to say, I am in love.. And I can see myself making loads of cuties just like these.

Today I hopped for the first time over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge site. Their challenge #5 really spoke to me.. I loved the layout. Simple and clean, I knew I could work with it easily. So when my kids were having fun playing outside in the sun (yes we had some sun outside today here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.) I dove into my studio and started creating.

They actually have such a cute prize for the winner of this weeks challenge.. I am crossing my fingers, cause you never know right :)

Here is an inside peek at my card.

Don't you love it, when the images and the sentiments blend so well together?

And ofcourse I wanted to play along with the Paper Players Color Challenge of this week #132. The colors were perfect for what I had in mind. Ann matched them up so well.

Do you recognise this sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration 2013 'Vintage Verses' stamp set. It can be yours with 3 other cuties of sentiments, when you place an order through my store of $60.

Well, there are some Grammys that I would love to watch on tv. I hope Carrie Underwood is going to win a Grammy, I love her songs. So I am going to call it a night.

Tea Shoppe thank you card created by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

It is Saturday and we are taking it easy in this home today. It was a busy week and nothing is better on a Saturday morning, than having no where to go.

I had some tea with the kids, we crafted a bit, they played and I crafted a bit,

all around fun, fun, FUN!!

When I saw this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge # 72 that Cindy created for us,  I knew I wanted to play along.

They asked for CAS cards.. Well, you know me, I am all for that. I just don't seem to have that shabby chic gene in me. I seriously do not know how to implement Shabby in any of my cards.. Kinda sad, maybe one day... But Clean And Simple.. that's my cup of tea..

Well I have to say, whatever your tea preference is, this delightful, vintage-inspired ten-piece set has a cup just for you. It coordinates with the Modern Label and Scallop Oval Punches and the Chamomile Stampin' Around Wheel. Use the masking technique to stack the smaller tea cups inside one another for a charming effect!

CLICK HERE to visit my online Stampin Up store if you would like to purchase this super sweet Tea Shoppe set. (#125547 - $33.95)

The Case Study Challenge #127 had one beauty of a card to inspire us.

I loved the frames around the main images that Teri Anderson created on her beautiful card. & wow, BIG WOW, I hopped over to her blog and she is amazing in what she does. (Hi Teri)

Anyhoo.. My card of today is all about frames as you can see, so I think the Mojo bug definitely hopped over to me after I visited their site.

And last but not least. The sweet Casual Friday Ladies had one inspiring theme with their 89-th Challenge this week.

Can you guess?

Yip, it's 'Love song'.

Did you know that there is actually a song that is dedicated to coffee and tea.

It is called 'I love coffee, I love tea.

CLICK HERE, to connect to YouTube and hear it for yourself..

Don't tell anyone, but I hum this song in the morning when I brew my teas and coffees. (smile)

Well, that's it dear you,

I hope you enjoyed my post of today and as always it is such a treat to hear from you..

(hum, hum.. I love comments, yes I do.. hum hum)

Hearts a flutter Valentines card by Stampin Up and me

Good Friday dear Stamping friends.

In about 2 weeks I am giving a workshop at a dear friend's home here in Calgary. We have been talking about it for ages.. Finally we set a date and in 2 weeks that time has come. I can't wait to share some of the amazing and beautiful products Stampin Up has to offer to create that perfect card, scrapbook page and tag.

I am sure everyone who comes will love getting together to chat and create.

This card is high on my list of creating that Sunday afternoon. I will show it to her one of these days to see if she likes it.

Before we go any further on to the details of this card, I just wanted to show you this photo of my beloved Canada. I so love the mornings in the mountains. When were out in the Rockies, I always try to sneak out for little bit with the kids to get a glimpse of all the beauty that is out there. It inspires me in so many ways. It just gives me that little extra boost that I sometimes so need to get my creative juices flowing.

I took this picture last weekend. The morning dew was still frozen and clinging to the trees and it just took my breath away.

Okay...

The Pals Paper Arts ladies had one super sweet early Spring Color Challenge #152 on their blog this week.

They inspired us to use the colours Primrose Petals, Pool Party and real Red.

I added some Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up as a base colour for my card.

It always works so well with the reds and the blues.

I used the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set + Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies from Stampin Up for this card. Please click HERE if you would like to purchase this beautiful set through my Online Stampin Up Store. If you buy them at the same time you will receive a 15% discount in savings on these 2 beauties. Easily cut stamped images from the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set. Largest heart: 2" x 2". 5 dies. Cuts a single sheet of paper using your Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, and Multipurpose Platform. Buy this item with the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set

Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#127821 - $9.95)

Don't you love this Natural wood look. It is the perfect card background for any season.

Folder: 4-1/2" x 6-3/8".

Use with Big Shot machine, Multipurpose Platform, and Standard Cutting Pads.

(This item is a favorite from the 2012 holiday catalog.)

The Case This Sketch Challenge # 14 have one sweet Sketch for us this week.

I loved playing with it. Well, here you go dear ladies. I hope you enjoy my take on this sketch. And I have to say, I loved each and every card you showed us to inspire us. Hugs to you!

Well, this card had to have some bling, don't you think? These little sticky embellishments from Stampin Up do the trick each and every time.

I think that these jewels are just as magical in papercrafting as in fashion. With our rhinestone basic jewels, it’s easy to add a touch of class to your projects in an instant.

For $6.50 + tax and shipping you will receive 150 of these little cuties!

• Small, self-adhesive rhinestones
• 150 rhinestones per package; 50 each of 3 sizes (3 mm, 4 mm, and 5 mm)
• Each package also includes three 2-5/8" strips of connected rhinestones, perfect for borders

Well I hope you will have a beautiful day and weekend. I would love to know, that you were here. Your little notes and sweet comments are so appreciated.

Madison Avenue Thank you card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

I  am so happy I had some time to play with my Stampin Up goodies last night. Some of my days are just so filled with sweet and important moments and interruptions, that I really look forward to the evening where the kids are asleep and I can craft my heart out.

Last night I had hopped over to the Just Add Ink Challenge Blog and right away fell in love with their #14th Challenge. They encouraged us to use Lace and/or Ephemera in our cards or scrapbook pages. Now, being dutch wasn't really helping me with the word Ephemera.. so I took some time to soak that word in.. What I found out was the following:

Ephemera is anything that wouldn't normally be considered something to collect, save, cherish or keep (or for that matter, display on a scrapbook page). Make sense? If not, here's a list of some items that might be considered ephemera (and this is just a very small list):

- playing cards
- postcards
- dominoes
-  coin and paper money
- ticket stubs
- lottery tickets
- game pieces
- office objects like paper clips, post its, Rolodex cards
- keys
- toothpicks
- tiles or mosaics
- old maps
- miniature items such as those found in doll house stores
- compasses
- glass
- watch parts
- packaging of all kinds
- magazine ads
- old book pages
- wire
- plastic and acryllic
- feathers, leaves etc.
- film or film strip materials
- chop sticks
- fabrics, especially antique
- flat pebbles and stones, etc

Now, how fun is that.
I love my Stampin Up rhinestones and really wanted to use it on my next card. I never knew these tiny blinkies were also considered Ephemeras :)

Here is the Stamp set that I played with. It is called 'Madison Avenue' from Stampin Up. It is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set which you can earn for free with your $60 order until March 22-nd 2013.

Here is another sentiment that I used from one of the Sale-A-Bration items you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration 2013. It is called Vintage Verses.
What a gorgeous set this is. Love it, love it!

For my card I used (yes :) Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, whisper white
and Basic Gray from Stampin Up
Those colors never get old in my books :)

In case you were wondering if Stampin Up has any other colors than Pool Party and Crumb Cake.. (I am sure you were wondering about that after seeing teh cards on my blog :) Then here is a complete list of Stampin Up's beautiful line of colours !

Well, it's time for me to go outside.
The sun is shining here in Calgary and I have to get my dose of Vitamin D before it leaves this country again :)

Inky hugs, Pauline
