Comfort food by Stampin Up and me

Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

I created this card for the Mojo Monday Challenge #190. I love the color combination of this card. Concord Crush, Whisper White and Poppy Parade, all from Stampin Up. For the first time I used my 'Comfort Food' stamp set of Stampin Up. What a sweet and simple set. Love it! Can't wait to use it more often.

Well I guess today it's going to be a short but sweet blog post.

Bless your heart, Pauline

The nicest things friendship card by Stampin Up and me

Good Friday afternoon to you. I hope this week went well for you. Here it went fast and beautiful. the sun was out most of the days and so were the kids. We loved it.

Today I was able to create this super adorable card. It is with one of the sweetest stamp sets I own.. 'The nicest things' made by Stampin Up (#120531 - $17.95). These 2 little girls just melt my heart. God also gave us a son and 2 of little girls and they are just the cutest thing ever! They can hold each other just like these 2 cuties.. 'Huggy, huggy'.. says my youngest when she is in need of some love.. Just so precious..

Well, I hope your weekend will be full of Huggies.

Just believe by Stampin Up and me

Happy Tuesday everyone..

How did your day go? Mine was just beautiful. Thanks for stopping by. I so love to have you visit! I needed a quick card today.. because the sun shine was calling me and a million other things that had to be done today as well! :) This is what I came up with. I used the Clean & Simple Stampin Challenge #139 layout for my card and I love how it turned out. Clean and simple :)

As a base for my card I used the Poppy Parade card stock from Stampin Up. Together with the Whisper White and the Early Espresso card stock it turned in to one beautiful color combo.

I picked one of the images from the 'Just Believe' stampset from Stampin Up (#120453 - $31.95) This set has 9 different stamps. You got to check them out, they are great.

I added some 1/2 " Poppy Parade Stitched - Poly ribbon (#119263 - $12.25 for 15 yards) also made by Stampin Up. It just needed that little extra.

Have a great rest of your evening or night if you are in a different time zone than us here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Cute little Sheep made with Stampin Up punches and me

Hi dear you.

If you're a mom..

  • Happy Mothers Day to you and to all the precious moms out there that are raising up the next generation. You are doing the mightiest of works. You are life giving! Nurturing, shaping and impacting the world with your mothering. Embrace this beautiful position. I hope you feel loved and cared for by your children. Maybe your small wonder is still small, maybe it has been growing up for the last couple of years. All I can say is that I feel blessed to be a mom of 3 wonderful kids (and yes, I am biased :) who've enriched my life in so many ways!

Well.. I will keep this post short today.. This was such a fun card to create. I created it with the Pals Paper Arts #92 Challenge in mind. They encouraged us to use the colors Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz from Stampin Up. I just had to add some Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock. I asked my son what he saw when he saw my card.. 'A sheep'... (silence)... I think'... he said.. Well.. okay I thought that's good enough.. So I hope you're seeing a sheep as well, because that was in the plan for this card. :)

I used 6 different Stampin Up punches for this card. Do you recognize them? Oh how I love my punches.. More and more I am getting into them. Do you recognize the Owl punch? I get such a kick out of this punch.. There are so many options of using it with all the different shapes that you can pop out of this thing.. I encourage you to just sit down and look at the shapes of this punch and see what you can come up with.. It is so SO FUN!!! I would love to hear from you!

Well, we got go to the Farmers Market here in Calgary.. It reopened in a new location and I heard it is just beautiful in there.. Outside in here Calgary there is a lot of rain and hail today.. Sigh.. Please Calgary.. don't skip 'my' Spring! I'm in need of Spring! and color and birds and flowers and life in the outside world.

Embosslits die 'Hi' + Manhattan Flower by stampin Up and me.

Hi dear you!

You know, I think I am on a QUEST to document the ordinary days through the eyes of .. a card... Well kinda... because these days of mine are really a true gift from God. I feel content and blessed and I have hope for things in my life to change.. I believe in change and having hope.. And I as I read my blog once in a while.. I see the goodness of life and creativity and friendship..

  • Thanks everyone for walking a bit beside me in this so called journey.. I so appreciate your comments and the joy that comes through these little notes you send me. They make me smile and they encourage me to smile back at you through my little notes on your blogs.. I hope we can connect soon!! Love you!

Yesterday evening... oh how fun was that..Me, Malann, Robyn and our dutch friend were sitting at our table making cards.. We all did our own thing, we all had our own style and we all made great cards for some great causes :). And we laughed and surprised each other by our honesty in our conversations. So funny how we as woman can jump from one subject to the other in a blink of an eye.. You girls know what I am talking about right.. (smile)

I decided to make some cards with my SU Big Shot and to use some of my Textured impressions embossing folders from Stampin Up. I chose the Manhattan Flower (#114517 - $10.95) for my first card. I matched this one up with my Embosslits die 'Hi' (#115952 - $15.95). A match made in SU heaven. I never thought of this combination before.. but I'm so happy I did last night. It is a keeper. I think these 2 are just so stunning together. You should try them out. With my circle punch I punched out the little circle in the middle of the 'embosslits Hi' and put a different collor 'HI' in there.. So fun! (Does this make any sense?) Sigh.. y english is in need of some help. :)

Oh.. And then don't get me started on the pearls and the ribbon.. Aren't they the perfect touch to any card?

Well.. I gotta go.. I got some stampin' to do :)

Messages for mom by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear you.

Wow, did I ever have a beautiful day. The sun was out, the windows were open (and cleaned inside and out) and I was able to make some cards this morning with 3 of my dear friends. Just perfect. I loved our time together.

On one of the photo's you see Ashley. I wish you could meet her. She is such a genuine and sweet person. She has a heart of gold and she is so creative + she has a great singing voice... and she can play the piano. (One day.. I hope to play that thing too :) I am so excited to get to know Ashley better. Making cards with her and Angela and our dutch friend this morning was such a treat. The time went by so fast.. Before we knew it, it was time to wrap it up.

But I am the lucky one. Tonight my friend Robyn will swing by and we will craft some more. So excited..

At dinner we ate outside in the sun with the kids, This way I didn't have to clean all the food that usually falls on the floor underneath the table. (hahhaha.. seriously, this saves me so much time :)

We were into the flowers BIG TIME this morning. I love how each card was a little bit different and yet so unique. Our moms will be spoiled with a home made mothers day card. Here is a good one for you. In dutch we say: 'Moederdags kaart'. Can you say that out loud? I double dare you!

For one of the cards I used one of the images of 'Messages for Mom' stamp set from Stampin Up (#118580 - $22.95) This set has 8 different stamps and are just perfect for any mothers day card.

Well.. I gotta go. I think I hear Robyn's car .. I hope your evening will be a good one.

Inky hugs, Pauline

Happily ever after and the Scallop Square die by Stampin Up and me

Happy Tuesday to you.

The other day my friend Joyce from Holland send me this gorgeous black and white card. Isn't she the sweetest thing? She created this card with the Scallop Square die from Stampin Up. (#115950 - $29.95) I might have to case this one day! She used real fabric for the top layer of this card. How fun! Thanks so much dear Joyce.. I love it! It is so well done.

The other card that you see I created with the 'Happily ever after' stampset from Stampin Up. It is now retired, but I am so happy I still have access to it. :) Together with some pearls, the Only orange and Kiwi Kiss and Crumb Cake card stock from Stampin Up, it is one happy Happily card.

I rolled the Only Orange and the Kiwi Kiss card stock both with the SU Top Note Die (#113463 - $29.95) through my Big Shot (#113439 - $132.95). After that I trimmed the Kiwi Kiss one a little bit smaller than the Only Orange one. I love the effect it gives.

Well.. I guess that's it. We saw almost the 4 Seasons here in Calgary today. It rained, it hailed, the sun was shining and I saw the first green buds on our trees this morning.

Whoopee! Spring is coming!

Today I created this card for the Clean & simple stamping Challenge #138. I also would like to add this card to the Paper Players Theme Challenge #45. They encouraged us to use flowers, birds, trees and bees on our cards.

I wanted to create something bold and simple. I think it worked. As a base I used the Elegant Eggplant card stock. Together with the Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Kiwi Kiss from Stampin Up.. it got really fun! The flowers came from my Blossom Party die, that I rolled together with my card stock through the Big Shot Machine. Seriously.. I created this card in less than 10 minutes. Great for a quick Sunday post.

Well, the kids just got back from a little walk with grandma.. in the SUN!!! She is the sweetest thing. We love her to pieces. I am sure they are thirsty.. So I am off to make some drinks and some Pizza! Yummy!
