Forever young thank you card by Stampin Up and me

Hi dear Stampers.

How is your weekend going? I hope you're enjoying it. We were trying to have a slow weekend here in Calgary. As a family we have been so busy these last few weeks, that the thought of running all over the place again, was not what we wanted for this weekend. Well.. just hold that thought and I will do the same.. because it was one busy day. Our 3 kids woke up way to early, there was a birthday party to go to (which rocked and was so much fun!) My hubby went swimming with our oldest son and this evening we are going to have some sweet friends over.. + I had about 6 phone calls with my dear friends and family in Holland. Seriously, my ear feels almost numb (smile) But, slowly things are coming together for our trip and that is good.

I created this card on Tuesday for the Mojo Monday Challenge #236. I am in love with this sketch. It's a very easy one for the eyes and I love how I was able to showcase this beautiful retired Stampin Up Designer Series Paper. The image that you see is from the 'Forever Young' stamp set. This set has 5 beautiful classic images (#122572 - $22.95) and I have to say the tree is one of my favorites. I have a thing for trees... they are just the perfect touch to nature :) When I go to Holland I will visit one of my dearest friends in Hilversum. She lives close to the Hei (... I am sorry, I am not sure what the translation is of that one .. hutje op de hei ... :) and the forest. I so hope that we can make a long bike ride there and breathe in the fresh air these trees give off and see the little farms here and there, the horses in the fields. It is really breath taking. You think the mountains can do that to you.. well I tell you.. Holland can do it as well.

I also hope that I will be able to see the fields and fields of tulips. They are so stunning, so rich in colour! But I talked to my aunt yesterday and she told me that all those fields of flowers are now in full bloom. And with this cold weather this can mean that they will be done flowering when I am there. I know.. Such a bummer.. Oh well.. Something to look forward to another year, right!

Well, I need to keep it short today. But I am happy I got to say hi to you all.

Inky hugs, Pauline

    Heel veel plezier in Nederland!
Hopelijk heb je prachtig weer en kan je lekker de hei (ik zou er ook geen engels woord voor weten ;-)) op en door de bossen fietsen!

    Groetjes Tamara.
