Hi dear Stampers.
Are you ready for another sneak peek? Here are 2 different cards that you will be able to create at the card Buffet on Nov. the 4th of 2012?
Card Buffets are so much fun and I know that you will be certain to find just what
you need to add to your card collection.
Join us and create a total of 14 cards or tags from a "menu" of about 12 different cards and tags.
You get to pick what you want to make!! (Christmas cards, thank you cards, baby cards, birthday cards, etc.)
The Buffet will be on Sunday November the 4th from 1.30 pm to 6 pm.
The cost of this Card Buffet is $30 and includes 14 cards (tags) with envelopes.
Once your 14 cards (of your choice) are completed, you can go back for extra helpings at $2 each!
I know you will love the "menu" of choices and I will work hard to make sure your supplies are perfectly prepared and ready for you to stamp, assemble and send!
If you have your own sharp scissors, even glue and a paper trimmer (in case you want to change things up a bit) please bring them to this event :) + if everyone can bring a nice snack with them on that day, we will have lots of yummy goodies to munch on while creating.
I would love to hear from you, if you have any questions or concerns.
Pss: I will also have a little corner where you will be able to buy some of my homemade cards :)
Today I played with a retired but still super duper cute stamp from Stampin Up, called Packed for Baby. The details are so much fun and can be used in so many ways. I decided to stamp the image in Early Espresso Classic ink and stamp the image twice on the card stock.
I love how it turned out.
I wanted to create a clean and simple card, so not to much little ad-ons. Believe me, I tried with some ribbon, buttons and I even tried colouring the images.. , but it just didn't look good. I guess, less is more, right on these cards
I used my Sizzix Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits from Stampin Up. This set is now also retired. It is a shame, because these letters have such a classic and simple touch to them.
I used my Stampin Up circle punches to create the circles on my cards.
Stampin Up created a new look / style for their punches, (the ones you see are the retired ones :) but these circle sizes are still for sale in my online Stampin Up products store.
Here you have the 1- 3/8 circle SU punch (#119860 - $21.95) and for the smaller circles on my card I used the 1- 1/4" circle Stampin Up punch (#119861 - $21.95).
You're welcome to click on the link. It will bring you right to my online Stampin Up store, where you can purchase these beauties. I promise, they will not be able to collect any dust in your crafting times :)
Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect.
I hopped over this morning to the CRE - 8 - 4 - FUN blog Challenge # 65. This week they played in their challenge with the colours Pink, Tan and Cream. Ofcourse with my baby cards in mind, I went and played along :)
Isn't it fun how a different colour can change the whole look of a card.
Just by changing up the colours, I now have one girly baby card and one boy-ish baby card..
Well.. I gotta go here..
Inky hugs, Pauline
