Pleasant Poppies wedding card by Stampin Up and me

Good Friday afternoon dear Stampers. The sun has returned to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am so thankful. For a couple of days we had some snow, and it was cold. I really thought winter had started here, but today it feels like Spring again. Well more like a second Spring. It so looks like nature is in full bloom again. The leaves are just gorgeous. All the yellow leaves and purples and orange.. I love it!

Thanksgiving is coming up soon here in Canada. I love that time of year. Which reminds me. I need to take the turkey out of the freezer (smile) It takes up to 3 days in the fridge to not be frozen anymore :) Yip it is a large one. If only I had space in my fridge to put it i there. Oh the joys of Thanksgiving dinners :)

Here you see the Classic Basic Gray water based ink pad that I used from Stampin Up. Such a rich colour. I love it. (# 126981 - $7.25)

This beautiful extra-large stamp will make a graceful statement on any card, over sized tags, and scrapbook pages. Try water coloring this lovely image using an Aqua Painter and a Classic Stampin' Pad for a look that's all your own. Pleasant Poppies clear mount stamp set #129499 - $16.95

Here you see how I have clinged the clear mount Pleasant Poppies stamp to my largest Stampin Up clear block.
Which is the 'F' - clear block. (#118483 - $22.95)
and measures 4 -7/8 x 6 inches.

With large stamps like this, I find it easier to turn my ink pad around and pad it on top of the rubber stamp, instead of the other way around. That way I can see where the ink is and where it needs some more ink :)

Here you see the inside of my wedding card. I inked up the same image and punched it out with my large circle punch from Stampin up. After that I coloured it with my markers. And I have to admit colouring is so soothing, I could do that for hours..

I created this beautiful card for my husbands brother and his dear future wife. They are getting married  this weekend at Lake Louise. We are all so looking forward to it. I hope they will enjoy the card. I used the Stampin Royalty Challenge #144 of this week as my inspiration.
They encouraged us to use the colours Red Rose, Whisper white and Tangerine Tango. I didn't really have Red Rose.. but I had a beautiful red, which I hope was okay to use as well to use for this challenge. The Tangerine Tango is hiding in the colouring of the poppies of the inside of my card. Can you spot it?

Oh there are so many ins and outs on this card. There is just so little time to write them all out. I hope the photo's will help you with some of the details of this card.

Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!
And don't forget to give thanks to the Jesus,
the One Who created this beautiful earth and ofcourse Who created you and me!

Inky hugs, Pauline
