This morning we went to a craft and art sale here in Calgary. Bringing 3 kids was sure the fun part of it all. There was so much to see and taste and touch and admire. People can create beautiful stuff. Not that we need it all, but it was sure fun to look at it all..... and tell the kids over and over not to touch anything. (smile)
Our Reubs loved all the painting that were out there. He is a artist himself if you ask me. He can draw pictures for hours and comes up with the most (weird) never seen before creatures and shapes. Love it.
There was also a sweet lady selling her homemade Stampin Up cards. She had great ideas and a beautiful booth. That must have been a lot of work for her to set it all up and create all those cards. I was planning on buying some of her cards.. (I know.. do I need more cards :) Anyhoo.. then something odd happened around my kids (Please don't ask me what.. it had something to do with cookies and books all over the floor), so I had to ran away from that booth and of course after that I was to embarrassed to walk back to her with the same interest and smile on my face.. You know.. I don't know about you, but for some odd reason, I can feel so bad .. just walking by all those booths and not buy anything. When everybody smiles so sweet to me and wants to show me all that they have created.. then I feel almost obligated to at least buy one little frut thingetje.. that will end up somewhere on the floor in this house.. Sigh.. Anyway.. while I was having all those thoughts, they were probable thinking in the back of their minds.. Who takes 3 small kids to a craft sale?.. So all that to say.. All I bought was some Epicure spices which we really use in this household. So I did great. My hubby can be proud of me.
Today I have for you this very simple layered card. There's not much to it. Just a fun card for every occasion. I love how well the Pale Plum works with the Crumb Cake from Stampin Up. I should use that purple more often. That little tree is .. yes again.. from the Trendy Trees Stampin Up set. Do I have to say more...
Inky hugs, Pauline
ReplyDeleteJe kaart is prachtig.
Liefs, San
This is such a fun card, Pauline! I really like how you used the scalloped oval to frame the tree. It fits perfectly and you have just inspired me to use this stamp set again really soon. It's always so fun to stop by your blog. You have wonderful creative ideas...and your posts always make me smile. :)
