Hi dear Bloggers. How is your Monday going?
We had a good weekend. It was a busy one, but a good one. My hubby went hunting from Thursday to Sunday. He was able to shoot one elk and one deer. I am so proud of him and I know he so enjoys doing this kind of thing with his family, but at the same time it is so not a dutch thing to shoot those beauties. Sigh.. I like them alive.. but I also have to say.. you can't get a more 'organic' way of finding your meat. No additives or hormones went into these animals. They had a good life and will probable 'feed' us for the rest of the winter / year. So I am thankful that I live in a country where hunting is allowed. But .. it's still kinda weird.. right?
And on to my card..
I created this card with 2 Challenges in mind. Isn't the layout beautiful? You got to give it a try. I love it. I was challenged by the lovely ladies of the Freshly Made Sketches #9 They have one beautiful and inspirational blog. And one of my dear blogger friends Christy Q is this months host designers. Make sure you hop over to her blog, she is a true artist!
The other challenge I had in mind when I created this card was the Color Throwdown #166. The encouraged us to use the colours Crumb cake, Baja Breeze and Old Olive... and ofcourse I'm loving it!
- I inked up for the first time my Triple Treat Flower stampin Up stamp (#122909 - $10.95). It is such a gorgeous flower. I inked it up and stamped it 3 times, so I could layer it. 2 of my Stampin Up punches were a big help in this process.
- I used the colors, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake and Old Olive from Stampin Up. I didn't need to be challenges to use these colours. They are one of my favorites as you might know.Well.. I hope I didn't tick you off that much with the dead deer in one of the photo's. It's what they say in this part of the world... It's part of life.. So I guess it is..
Inky hugs, Pauline
Hi Pauline! Wow, is this ever pretty! I think you have just convinced me to add that Triple Treat flower stamp to my ever-growing collection, too. I love the dimension, especially the way you accented it with the pearls. Very, very pretty! (hugs)
ReplyDeleteLove the layout of this Pauline. It's a really pretty card. I may need to get this set now too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors - that flower is a lovely focal point! Sorry you missed us at Freshly Made Sketches this week - we close at noon on Mondays (Pacific time) Hope you join us again!
Maar what needs to be done, has to be done!
(en wel een stoere vent!)
Liefs, San
(p.s. dank je wel voor je lieve bericht op mijn laatste post! waardeer het heel erg!)

Stella
ReplyDeleteWow...what a clever use of that punch. Very pretty card!
