Hi dear Stampers.

It's time for another Paper Players Colour Challenge #72 and 'My time to Craft Challenge #166'.

But before I go to the details of my next project, I first want to give a big thanks to these sweet Paper Player ladies. As my surprise, I was Julie's choice last week for 'A cut Above' at the PP #71 Challenge & this is what she wrote about my owl gift box.

  • I saw this little cutie and I couldn't pass it up. Pauline took Anne Marie's recipe and turned all of those fun elements into one of the cutest owl projects I have ever seen. And, what's even better, she shares the template on her blog, so you can make your very own! I am lovin' the Spice Cake DSP right now and think it is so fitting for this little guy. The punches work perfectly as his eyes and the ribbon and bling are the perfect final touches. All of these little details are why I picked Pauline's owl as my Cut Above this week. Congrats Pauline!

Thanks so much for your encouragement Julie! It really made me smile. + I had a little dance with my kids. They were so proud of me. Isn't that fun. They have been showing this little owl to everyone who enters our home.

So on to my next 3D project that I created with the 'My time to Craft Challenge #166 and the Paper Players Colour Challenge #72 in mind. The super talented LeAnne is in charge for this PP Challenge. This week Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke and River Rock got to hang out together. But I guess they were hanging out somewhere else, because when I dug into my filling cabinet to look for 2 of these beauties, they were gone. So I grabbed what was the closest to these colours and Poppy Parade and Soft Suede made the cut. Then the other challenge encouraged us to create 'something with 'Take 2' in mind. And 2 itty bitty cards it was in my project.

  • I have to say that the Bigz XL Bitty Box and envelope Stampin Up die is such a delight to assemble. An extended Premium Crease Pad (used in place of the top Extended Cutting Pad) ensures that you get clean scores without 'cut through' lines.

  • And guess what fits perfectly inside the Bitty envelope? A tiny card (2 1/8'' x 2 1/8 inches) I fashioned and layers with some retired Stampin Up Christmas DSP and 2 images of the Easy Events Stampin Up stamp sets. (#123225 - $30.95 for the clear mount set)

  • That little box that you see measures 2 3/8'' square x 3/8'' high and is the perfect place to fit those little envelopes and cards that I just created.

I will share this cute little gift box project + 4 little cards with my crafting Bee friends in our next getting together. If you would like to join us, please contact me. I would love to connect with you and create with you.

All that to say, Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Inky hugs, Pauline
