Mojo Monday Challenge #151 with a splash of Autumn
Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I can't tell you, how excited I am about the card I made today with the help of the Mojo Monday Challenge #151. The colors I picked are so elegant, but at the same time so fresh. Don't you think? I hope the pictures will show it, but I am afraid I failed a bit in my photography skills :)
I used one of the images of the Autumn Splender stampset of Stampin Up. All the images are just stunning. With the right color ink they almost come alive on the Very Vanilla card stock. I also used the Soft Suede and the Tempting Turquoise card stock. To Jazz this card up a bit, I added a piece of the Elegant Soiree designer Series Paper that is for sale in the new SU catalog.
So many times I can't get over the fact that I can really do it.. Make a card that I like. And I know myself.. I am a perfectionist. Yip that's me :) Welcome to my life. But I am working on it. :) To proof that I am working on it is this. I hope you didn't notice it, but if you are like me, you probable did.
On all the photo's you will see that there is a piece of the back of the brad showing behind the ribbon.. Seriously.. So bad.. My old me.. is like.. 'Rush.. Take all the photo's again, but then without that piece of brad showing.. and post it. It will only take you another hour or so...
My new realistic me is trying to get through to me saying:.. 'You are a busy mom, with 3 kids, a house to take care of, a garden, friends, family and a sweet hubby.. you just can't do that.. Life does not have to be perfect.. Really it doesn't! So here goes nothing... I am just leaving it!
So enjoy my Mojo card that is posted with a lot of self control :) today..
Okay..All that to say.. the next thing on my list is to post this card on the Mojo Monday Challenge site.. Don't you love checking out all the cards that so many talented people post there? I get a serious kick out of it. Okay.. enough about me.
I need to sleep.. Done for the day..
A big hug, Pauline
